How do you know if this is the right decision for your family?
There is no magic formula or checklist to follow. My biggest piece of advice is to pray. Allow the Lord to guide you in your next steps and to be open to where He may be guiding your family next.
Having realistic expectations is important. Adoption while a beautiful blessing, can also be challenging and difficult to navigate. Given that adoption is rooted in loss and brokenness, it can be messy. This does not take away from all the joy that it can bring too. It just makes it even more important to pause and make sure that every step we take is ethical and respects every member in the adoption triad: birth family, adoptive family, and the child.
Through serving you as an adoption consultant, I will be beside you each step of the way. I am here to offer guidance, listen to your concerns, help you discern what next steps are right for you and your family.
